Advanced Manufacturing Product Engineer

Our client, part of a global group are looking for an experienced Product Engineer based in Cape Town. The client specialises in the development and manufacture of high-performance components and assemblies using advanced lightweight composite materials for the aviation industry. Qualifications, Skills & Experience: B.Eng or BSc Mechanical or Industrial Engineering Degree Min. 5 years work experience in the manufacturing industry essential, Min. 3 years Project Management experience in the manufacturing industry desirable, Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, CAD design and simulation tools, Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and six sigma methodology, Experience with product development lifecycle from concept to production, Ability to work effectively in a team environment, Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, Knowledge of SolidWorks or similar CAD software, Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or similar, Ability to travel occasionally for business purposes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, CAD design and simulation tools, lean manufacturing principles and six sigma methodology.
