About the Opportunity
A growing player in the Higher Education Services & Student Recruitment sector supporting US-based colleges and universities. We deliver end-to-end student outreach, application guidance, and enrolment conversion services for prospective learners across North America.
This is an on-site role based in India working US shift hours to engage prospective students, manage application workflows, and drive admissions targets.
Primary Job Title (standardized): Admissions Counselor
Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct outbound and inbound outreach to prospective students (phone, email, and video) during US shift hours to drive application completion and enrollment.
- Qualify leads, assess academic fit, provide program guidance, and advise on application requirements and timelines for US universities.
- Maintain accurate candidate records in CRM and track pipeline stages to ensure timely follow-ups and conversion reporting.
- Support end-to-end application processes: document collection, application submission, interview scheduling, and enrollment confirmation.
- Collaborate with admissions managers and marketing to optimize lead-to-enrolment funnels and improve conversion metrics.
- Meet or exceed weekly/monthly enrollment targets while delivering a high-quality candidate experience and compliance with process standards.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred; strong track record in admissions, student recruitment, or outbound sales (US market experience is advantageous).
- Proven experience using CRM tools (Salesforce/Slate) and maintaining accurate pipeline records.
- Excellent written and spoken English with the ability to counsel and influence prospective students and families.
- Comfortable working US shift hours on-site in India; reliable attendance and shift flexibility required.
- Strong telephone prospecting and lead qualification skills with a target-driven mindset.
- Familiarity with US higher-education application processes, visa basics, and documentation requirements.
Preferred
- Experience with enrollment CRM configurations, reporting, and basic analytics (Excel/Sheets).
- Previous exposure to international student advising or education counseling.
- Multilingual abilities that support US-bound student populations.
