Job description
Baro RH is mandated to recruit a junior legal assistant specializing in business law for a national law firm recognized among the most prestigious in Canada.
You will support lawyers in the rigorous management of files, drafting legal documents, preparing contracts and coordinating meetings and client communications.
The position requires excellent bilingualism (French/English) due to frequent interactions with a national and international clientele.

Responsibilities- Ensure agenda follow-ups;
- Know and apply internal procedures and track correspondence;
- Ensure the opening and maintenance of client files;
- Format and correct voluminous documents;
- Transcribe, revise, and finalize different legal documents in both French and English;
- Prepare file binders for cases;
- Communicate with clients by phone;
- Manage contacts in Interaction;
- Prepare expense reports;
- Prepare billing and correct pre-bill projects;
- Update law volumes;
- Maintain precise filing systems with up-to-date lists and ensure the archiving of files;
- Demonstrate ability to manage multiple files simultaneously and work under pressure;
- Show professionalism, initiative, creativity, and openness;
- Show team spirit and collaboration within the work team and with all personnel members of the firm;
- Organize general work and assume various other connected tasks.
- Diploma in professional secondary education (DEP) or college diploma (DEC) in office administration, with a specialization in law;
- 2 to 5 years of experience as a legal secretary in business law for large law firms;
- Advanced technical knowledge of the Word software and intermediate knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint from the MS Office suite;
- Perfect bilingualism with excellent written and verbal communication skills, both in French and English, as described above;
- Fidelity, punctuality, and reliability;
- Able to manage emergencies and prioritize tasks;
- Excellent interpersonal skills;
- Availability to work overtime occasionally;
- Experience in business law for a large firm will be considered an asset.
