Assistant to Paralegals

Participate in corporate strategic files within an international law firm. Collaborative environment. Support for paralegals. Mastery of French and English required. Direct exposure to complex commercial operations.

Duties:

• Assist paralegals in preparing legal documents related to corporate files.
• Make deposits with federal and provincial government authorities.
• Update electronic and physical case records, as well as corporate files.
• Conduct research in various government databases.
• Enter corporate data into the entity management application.
• Collaborate on special projects and provide varied administrative support.
• Manage correspondence, phone calls, printing, filing, and invoice processing.
• Communicate with third-party agents for follow-ups related to billing and payments.

This is what you'll need to succeed:

• College diploma (A.E.C.) in legal secretarial studies or business administration (D.E.C.).
• Diploma in legal techniques and/or law certification, an asset.
• 1 year of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Professional level of French and English to:
• Prepare documents and correspondence in both languages according to client needs.
• Communicate effectively with Anglophone and Francophone interveners at Quebec and abroad.
• Ensure rigorous handling of files containing varied linguistic requirements.
• In-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and Acrobat Pro.
• Rigor, sense of organization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage priorities and work with tight deadlines.
• Team spirit and professionalism.
