Fishmonger Assistant

Humangest S.p.a, a specialized company in Research and Selection of personnel, is looking for an important client in the GDO sector: FISHMONGER ASSISTANT. The Fishmonger Assistant manages the department dedicated to fish products, ensuring freshness, quality, and correct exposure of the merchandise. Guarantees excellent customer service and collaborates with the team to maintain a clean, organized, and compliant repartition with sanitary regulations. Main tasks: · Receiving and controlling the quality of fresh, frozen, and other fish products; · Preparing, cleaning, and processing products (filettatura, squamatura, porzionatura); · Displaying merchandise according to company standards, paying attention to product rotation (FIFO); · Labeling, packaging, and managing prices; · Monitoring freshness and expiration dates of products, reporting any non-conformities; · Cleaning and maintaining counters, equipment, and refrigerated cells; · Supporting customers, providing information on preparation, conservation, and cooking fish; · Respecting HACCP regulations and company standards for hygiene and safety; · Collaborating in inventory activities and stock management. Requirements and skills required: · Experience, even brief, in a fishmongery or similar roles in GDO; · Knowledge of main fish products and techniques for processing fish; · Ability to ensure order, cleanliness, and attention to detail; · Physical resistance and ability to move heavy loads; · Knowledge of specific sanitary regulations and HACCP standards for fish products; · Ability to use sharpening knives and professional cutting tools; · Disposition to interact with the public and assisted sales; · Availability to work on shifts, weekends, and holidays. Working hours: - Full-time, 40 weekly hours from Monday to Sunday. - Rest day rotation. - Shifts both continuous and split.
