Activities Assistant - Bank - Care Home

Due to the property's location and the limited availability of public transport in the area, it is preferable that the candidate possesses a valid driving license and access to a vehicle. ABOUT THE ROLE As a Bank Activities Coordinator at a Barchester care home, you'll help to create a stimulating environment that enables us to deliver exceptional all-round care and support for our residents. Our ethos is all about celebrating life, so you'll help to devise imaginative, fun and motivational activities that bring joy and fulfillment to our residents. You'll work closely with the Care Home Manager and other colleagues to ensure that our activities programme is tailored to meet the needs of each individual resident, taking into account their interests, abilities and preferences. This role is all about making a positive impact on people's lives, so if you're passionate about delivering exceptional care and support, we'd love to hear from you. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Develop and deliver activities programmes that are tailored to meet the needs of each individual resident * Work closely with the Care Home Manager and other colleagues to ensure that our activities programme is effective and engaging * Build strong relationships with residents, their families and carers to understand their interests, abilities and preferences * Ensure that all activities are safe, enjoyable and accessible for all residents * Keep accurate records of activities and outcomes * Contribute to the overall success of the care home by being a positive and supportive team member. REQUIREMENTS * A valid driving license and access to a vehicle (due to the property's location) * Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and bank holidays * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to build strong relationships with residents, their families and carers * Experience of working in a care home or similar environment (desirable but not essential) * A passion for delivering exceptional care and support.
