As a rapidly growing company, with offices in North America, Europe, Asia and Latin America, we are seeking an Acquisition Editor to join our Life Sciences team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in life sciences, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with authors, editors, and other stakeholders. Key responsibilities include: • Developing and implementing strategies for acquiring high-quality content from top-tier journals and publishers. • Building relationships with key contacts at target institutions and maintaining a strong network of contacts in the life sciences community. • Collaborating with editorial team to develop and refine content acquisition plans. • Conducting market research and analyzing industry trends to identify opportunities for growth and expansion. • Developing and managing budgets for content acquisition and other initiatives. • Providing exceptional customer service to authors, editors, and other stakeholders. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in a life science-related field (e.g., biology, biochemistry, molecular biology). • 3+ years of experience in scientific publishing, academic publishing, or a related field. • Strong understanding of the life sciences research landscape and trends. • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). • Familiarity with content management systems and digital publishing platforms.
