Strategic Buyer - Hybrid Work

YOUR ROLE

Under the supervision of the strategic procurement director, you will be responsible for ensuring a continuous supply of goods and services in the required quantity and quality at the best price from the best supplier at the right place and time. You will have to work closely with different departments to meet the needs.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Prepare a negotiation strategy and conduct it to conclude favorably, so that we can get the most out of this negotiation.
  • Prepare tenders for files under your responsibility and study the file submissions according to established norms and procedures and coordinate their implementation.
  • Analyze the market and define and understand the total acquisition cost.
  • Continuously evaluate current and potential sources of supply to obtain the optimum for each dollar spent, considering quality and service received.
  • Develop a strategy by category and supplier to maximize gains.
  • Search for new products upon request from various services, including Marketing and Research and Development.
  • Manage internal clients' expectations by helping define their needs, confirming, and responding according to defined product and service objectives (quantity, quality, time, etc.).
  • Write the contractual agreement in collaboration with the Legal Service to define normative and monetary clauses according to the previously concluded negotiation.
  • Prepare and send notes of service to concerned parties informing any changes (price, withdrawal or addition of new product, etc.).
  • Manage supplier relationships by defining and obtaining required performance measures from suppliers and ensuring follow-up through periodic business reviews.
  • Maintain budgetary follow-ups periodically and find opportunities for improvement allowing the company to generate savings.
  • Participate in different committees.
  • Handle complaints regarding files under your responsibility: supervise return of merchandise, verify with Research and Development Service and/or supplier, replace merchandise, remove product from network, credit supplier, etc.
