As an Accounts Payable & Financial Controller, you will be jointly responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of our financial administration — one of the most important pillars for decision-making within Crisp. You will combine daily management of the accounts payable administration with challenging control activities, data analyses, and the automation of our processes using modern tools and AI.

What you will do

You will work every day with a great team of driven people. We have experience in business control, accounting, corporate finance, data analytics, tax law, and auditing. Crisp is growing fast, and so are the responsibilities of our team. This means no two days are the same, and we continuously develop ourselves. We brainstorm a lot and are open to each other's opinions.

• You will be responsible for processing and controlling incoming invoices and expense claims. You will be the point of contact for suppliers, manage the email flow, and prepare payments.

• You will manage a team of working students and interns and, together with them, ensure that all invoices are processed on time and correctly.

• You will support the month-end closing, reconcile general ledger accounts, and help with ad-hoc analyses and periodic reports.

• You will actively contribute to the smart design of financial workflows. You will explore and implement possibilities for process automation, smart data connections, and AI solutions (such as OCR recognition and automated invoice processing).

• You will report to the Lead Financial Controller, who will support you in your daily work and help you grow in your role.

This is you

As an ideal candidate, you already have a foundation of knowledge and experience and want to keep learning in a field that is constantly changing and digitizing. You recognize yourself in the following profile:

• You have a completed Bachelor's or Master's degree (e.g., Finance, Business Economics, or Accountancy).

• You have 0-3 years of relevant work experience in a financial or controlling role.

• You have experience with accounts payable administration and processing and controlling invoices.

• Knowledge of accounting software (such as Exact) is a plus.

• You are proficient with data and have a strong affinity for automation and new technologies (such as AI tools, data integrations, and process optimization).

• You are fluent in spoken and written Dutch and English.

• You are honest, accurate, and risk-aware. You understand that tight administration is the foundation for good decision-making.

• You think in terms of opportunities and possibilities: you immediately see where processes can be faster, smarter, or more error-free and do not hesitate to take action.
