Mission of the position:

The mission of the Accounts Assistant is to ensure rigorous, efficient economic and administrative management aligned with Meliá Hotels International standards, contributing to strategic decision-making and the hotel's sound financial performance, in close collaboration with the Business Partner and operational teams.

What will be your main functions?

  • These will be some of the main responsibilities of the role on a daily basis:

    1. Ensure compliance with the Administration policies and procedures established by the company at the hotel.
    2. Identify and communicate needs, incidents, or improvement opportunities to the Business Partner, acting as a support point for the hotel.
    3. Analyze relevant economic and operational information, providing support in advising the Hotel Manager and department heads.
    4. Collaborate in key processes such as openings, disaffiliations, or internal audits, ensuring the correct application of administrative processes.
    5. Coordinate and supervise cost control tasks, identifying deviations and optimization opportunities.
    6. Verify the correct functioning of administrative processes, guaranteeing the quality and reliability of financial information.

What are we looking for?

  • We are looking for people with a desire to learn, contribute, and grow within a dynamic hotel environment. These are the knowledge and experiences we will value:

    • University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related degrees.
    • Experience or knowledge in hotel administration, accounting, and financial analysis for a minimum of 2 years.
    • Ability to work with budgets, accounting closures, projections, and cost control.
    • Knowledge of accounting and financial regulations and experience with economic-financial systems.
    • Familiarity with tools such as SAP, PMS, and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • High level of English.
    • Interest in hotel operations and process improvement.
    • Skills such as communication, critical thinking, teamwork, planning, results orientation, and agile decision-making.
    • Collaborative, proactive attitude, and adaptability to change.
