Accounting Manager (m/w/d)

The company is a leading international provider in the fields of air filtration, process engineering, and measurement, control and regulation technology. In total, the group employs around 2,400 employees worldwide.

Tasks

To your diverse tasks belong:

• Responsibility for all accounting processes for four German companies
• Leadership and development of a six-member team
• Surety of correct and timely preparation of closing statements and management reporting in accordance with HGB and IFRS
• Coordination and control of compliance processes, including value-added tax, corporate tax, and source tax
• Main point of contact in the finance field for local legal and regulatory issues
• Surety of adherence to internal control systems and company guidelines
• Tight cooperation with auditors, tax consultants, and authorities during annual financial statements and business audits
• Leadership and support of optimization and automation processes in accounting
• Monitoring of intercompany transactions and treasury
• Cooperation with regional and global finance teams and participation in transformation and migration projects

Qualification

You bring:

• A successfully completed degree program with a focus on finance, accounting, economics or comparable field of study and at least 5 years of relevant professional experience, ideally in an international environment with responsibility for German companies
• Fundamental knowledge of accounting according to HGB and IFRS as well as German tax law, including preparation of statutory closing statements and accompaniment of audits
• A comprehensive understanding of end-to-end processes in accounting (main book, creditor/debtor accounting, asset accounting and reporting)
• Demonstrated leadership skills, excellent communication skills and self-initiative. Very good German and English language skills.
