About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations and ensure the accuracy, compliance, and integrity of our financial reporting. This is a hands-on role supporting business performance and strategic decision-making. This full-time permanent role is ideal for an experienced Accountant with prior work experience in the food manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify the reliability and statutory compliance of financial documentation and reports.
• Liaise with banks to manage payments, deposits, and other financial transactions.
• Oversee internal controls to protect financial data integrity and security.
• Assess financial viability and risk for proposed capital investment initiatives.
• Assist in developing and implementing accounting and budgetary policies.
• Compile and present accurate financial statements for Management.
• Conduct comprehensive financial reviews.
• Monitor and analyse company expenses, operational costs, and revenues to support financial planning.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience in Food manufacturing industry
• Demonstrated experience in an accounting or financial role.
• Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards, taxation requirements, and compliance frameworks.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational ability.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment.
• A collaborative approach to teamwork and the ability to support and mentor junior staff
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, evolving organisation
