Accountant

The Accountant plays a crucial role within the finance department by performing various accounting tasks. Under the direct supervision of the financial department manager, the Accountant is responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing financial reports, and providing relevant information to support strategic decision-making.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

• Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closures by preparing various journal entries;
• Perform monthly reconciliations of the general ledger accounts by analyzing financial information to provide explanations for discrepancies between periods and conclude on the appropriate treatment of transactions in financial statements and prepare any necessary adjustments if needed;
• Realize daily cash flow analysis and forecast future flows;
• Prioritize and submit federal and provincial sales tax declarations;
• Respond to various requests and produce ad-hoc reports.
