Accountant

Position: Accountant Position Type : Full-Time, Permanent Salary: $80,000 plus superannuation per annum Location: Sydney NSW 2000 Our client KP Chef Solutions Pty Ltd is a Sydney-based company providing specialised hospitality and food service solutions. Due to business growth, we are seeking a qualified and experienced Accountant to join their team and manage financial reporting, taxation obligations and internal financial processes. Duties and Responsibilities: · Prepare financial statements, · Manage general ledger accounting, · Perform month-end and year-end close procedures, · Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) and other tax returns, · Reconcile bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts, · Assist with budgeting and forecasting, · Analyse financial data and provide insights, · Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, · Assist with internal and external audits, · Maintain accurate financial records and documentation, · Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, · Process payroll, · Prepare and present financial reports to management, · Provide support to other team members as needed. Skills and Experience: · Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, · CPA or CA qualification (or working towards), · Proven experience as an Accountant, · Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations, · Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB), · Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, · Ability to work independently and as part of a team, · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, · Strong organizational and time management skills, · Experience in the hospitality or food service industry is advantageous.
