Accountant & Controller - Pharmaceutical Company

On behalf of our Client a global pharmaceutical company, IQVIA is looking for an Accountant & Controller who can join an exciting working environment in a dynamic atmosphere. The position will be based in our Milan office. RESPONSIBILITIES: As part of the company's growth and further professionalization, we are now looking for an experienced, proactive and team-oriented Accountant & Controller to support the Finance Director Italy and our developing team. The successful candidate must demonstrate a solid understanding of accounting principles and Italian GAAP, as well as the ability to effectively manage all accounting activities in order to produce timely financial statements and reports. Main responsibilities will include: * Accounting and monthly closing activities * Ensure compliance with Italian GAAP * Management of tax returns * Bank reconciliations and Treasury management * Ensure compliance with internal controls and policies * Preparation of financial statements and reports * Support the Finance Director in forecasting and budgeting processes * Support external audits * Other activities related to the role and requested by the Finance Director REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: * Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent. * Proven experience of at least 5 years in accounting roles, preferably within a multinational company. * In-depth knowledge of Italian GAAP. * Experience with monthly and year-end closing processes. * Strong understanding of internal controls and policies. * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Italian and English. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Strong organizational and time management skills. * Experience with SAP or other major ERP systems is a plus.
