Job description

We’re looking for an Accountant to provide immediate support on a 6-week temporary contract. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be expected to hit the ground running and keep things on track with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

Step in and support with whatever accounting tasks are needed
Handle reconciliations, journals, and general ledger work
Manage accounts payable/receivable
Assist with month-end close and reporting
Keep things running smoothly and make sure deadlines are met

Requirements:

Proven experience in a hands-on accounting role
Strong working knowledge of accounting systems
Advanced Excel skills and solid reporting ability
Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines
Reliable, detail-focused, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment

Contract Details:

Duration: 6 weeks (temporary assignment)
Start date: as soon as possible
Location: Napier CBD
