Working at Code Gaia means you are working on something very important: The transformation to a sustainable economy. We are here to ensure that sustainability is not cumbersome or time-consuming for companies. Instead, we want to encourage small and medium-sized enterprises to tackle climate change and social injustice together.

As an Internal Accountant, you are the backbone of our daily financial processes: You are responsible for ongoing accounting, ensure clean and punctual payment runs, and are the central point of contact for our external tax advisor. You work closely with our Finance Controller, our Revenue Operations team, and our Head of Finance, thereby contributing significantly to our growing team being able to build on a solid financial foundation.

WHAT YOU DO

  • You are responsible for ongoing financial accounting (accounts payable and accounts receivable) and ensure clean, audit-proof filing of all documents.
  • You check incoming invoices, prepare payment runs, and release them via our tool Moss, so that nothing financial gets stuck with us.
  • You support with outgoing invoices and open receivables via our systems (Younium, Easybill, HubSpot) and coordinate with Revenue Operations.
  • You take over credit card management and settlement for the entire team.
  • You prepare the monthly closing and work closely with our tax advisor.
  • You support the maintenance of our Cash Calendar and provide the Finance Controller with reliable figures for liquidity planning and forecasts.
  • You create ad-hoc analyses and specific reports for the Head of Finance, Finance Controller, and other stakeholders.
  • We support you in the use of AI tools (e.g., Claude) with which you can automate recurring accounting processes.

WHO YOU ARE

  • You have practical professional experience in accounting or finance operations, ideally in the SaaS or tech environment.
  • You have completed commercial training (e.g., tax assistant, balance sheet accountant) or a comparable degree with a focus on Finance/Accounting.
  • You have sound knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping and ideally initial experience with SaaS-specific topics such as recurring revenue (ARR) or subscription billing.
  • You work precisely, structured, and maintain an overview even with a high volume of documents and recurring tasks.
  • You communicate clearly, friendly, and solution-oriented – also in contact with external tax advisors and clients.
  • You are proficient in using common accounting and invoicing tools (e.g., Moss, DATEV, Younium, Easybill, HubSpot or similar).
  • You are reliable, enjoy working independently, and take ownership of your area.
  • You have German language skills at C2 level.
  • You have good English language skills, as our internal working language is English.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Hybrid Work & Freedom | We firmly believe that every work environment must be ideal and tailored to the individual. For this reason, our team members work remotely or in our offices in Munich or Berlin – in their own way. This way, we can ensure that all our talents have plenty of freedom to achieve the best possible results.

Ownership & Impact | At Code Gaia, all our team members have a voice. We value every opinion and encourage everyone to speak their mind. Only through teamwork can we create something meaningful. We believe in our team and therefore give them a lot of autonomy. Even if we fail, we learn from it, get back up, and continue working towards success. This is part of the game, and we know it.

Personal & Professional Growth | Your development is our priority. With our intensive onboarding, feedback discussions, and training, we promote your personal and professional development. One of our core values is "Keep Growing", which we express in everything we do.

However, at Code Gaia, we place great importance on team building and organize various team events throughout the year. Take a look at the last LigaConvent of our corporate group, for example. We understand the need for face-to-face interaction and strongly encourage it.

Impact driven & passionate team | Last but not least, we are the most impact-driven team you can imagine. We love collaboration and live our company values every day. Furthermore, Code Gaia naturally compensates its own CO2 footprint.

Is it a Match?

Then please send us your documents. We look forward to getting to know you soon!
