Job description

Our mission ⚖️

At Doctrine, we are building the leader in legal AI in Europe.

Our conviction? Law should not be slowed down by repetitive tasks. It should be enhanced by specialized AI, designed to understand, analyze, and produce legal reasoning with a high level of rigor.

Our ambition? To enable legal professionals to gain reliability, efficiency, and peace of mind, thanks to a unique, comprehensive, and secure platform.

Today, 27,000 legal professionals, spread across five countries (France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Luxembourg), trust us.

Our development is guided by a clear approach: a global vision, grounded in a keen understanding of local specificities.

Behind this ambition, a team of around 250 people, united by the same objective: to support lawyers and legal professionals at every stage of their work, from analysis to drafting.

And we are just at the beginning.

The Context

Independent law firms represent the fastest-growing segment at Doctrine, with a 50% increase over the last 12 months.

To support this momentum, you will play a key role in customer retention and the development of your portfolio.

We are looking for an Account Manager (Retention Specialist) to join our team dedicated to independent lawyers.

You will be responsible for a portfolio of over 800 clients, with one priority: to make them want to stay with Doctrine. This involves regular communication, demonstrations useful to their practice, and negotiations to renew their subscriptions.

You will work with Sales Specialists, who handle sales of complementary products based on the needs you identify with your clients.

This position combines client relationship management, product expertise, and commercial negotiation, with a direct impact on retention and revenue growth.

The Missions:
  • Contact clients who are underutilizing our solutions or experiencing difficulties, to understand what is hindering them and help them resume their use.
  • Handle cancellation requests: understand the reasons for leaving, address objections, demonstrate the true value of Doctrine, and define a new contractual proposal to re-engage the client.

  • Anticipate subscription renewals and ensure follow-up on commitments made to clients.

  • Conduct demonstrations and train clients on our solutions.

  • Identify cross-sell business opportunities and transmit them to Sales Specialists.

  • Organize the tracking of your portfolio in the CRM and monitor your results: revenue retained, renewals, and reactivated clients.

  • Relay client feedback to the Product and Support teams, and share effective approaches with the team.

  • About You:
  • You have prior experience in B2B sales or account management, with commercial objectives.

  • You enjoy persuading and negotiating. You know how to listen to dissatisfaction, respond to objections, and seek agreement.

  • You are comfortable on the phone and readily take the initiative to call your clients.

  • You can manage a substantial portfolio, prioritize your tasks, and honor your commitments.

  • You are curious, learn quickly, and can simply explain how a product works.

  • You appreciate feedback for improvement and share your advice with your colleagues.

  • You express yourself clearly both orally and in writing, in French. A legal education or experience is a plus, but not a prerequisite.

  • Why be an AM/Growth Retention at Doctrine?
  • Hold a position that combines commercial negotiation, client relationship management, and product expertise, working with independent lawyers.

  • Be responsible for a significant client portfolio with the objective of retaining and growing it. NRR

  • Sell and support the use of legal AI solutions that are constantly evolving.

  • Benefit from comprehensive onboarding, training, and regular coaching to progress.

  • Rely on the Ops and Marketing teams in your daily work.

  • Benefit from an attractive package with an uncapped variable component.

  • Join a team that also gets together for conferences, lunches, team-building events, and offsites.

  • What awaits you if you join Doctrine 🤝

    • Contribute to an ambitious project with a real and positive impact on society: making law more accessible and open.
    • Very comprehensive onboarding enabling quick integration and skill development.
    • An adventure where training and knowledge sharing are part of the daily routine.
    • Join a company with a rich and dynamic team life: conferences, team-buildings, lunches, offsites, after-work events, etc.
