Job description

Become an Account Manager (m/f/d) with a focus on Digital Media at Carwow in Munich.

You will sell our digital media products YouTube, Meta, and Data to automotive manufacturers, partners, and media agencies, and oversee campaigns from booking to delivery.

Not quite sure if the position is right for you? Apply and let's find out together.

Our Mission

Carwow is Europe's leading platform for changing cars. We are changing how people buy, sell, and lease cars. With technology, media, and automotive expertise, we have evolved from a pure review platform to one of the largest online marketplaces.

Our reach extends far beyond our own platform: 10 million YouTube subscribers and over 350 million online readers per year in the group. We are now making this exact reach and our data available to advertising clients outside of Carwow.

Your Impact @ Carwow

You will expand the Digital Media, Audiences, and Data pillar within the German OEM & Media team. Our Brand Partnerships Managers sell Retail Media on the platform. You will ensure that Carwow is also firmly established in the media plans of agencies.

To do this, you will have three products at your disposal. You will bundle these into packages that align with the partners' goals and combine them with our Retail Media offering to create a coherent media story leading up to the purchase. This is how a still-young revenue stream grows into a solid pillar, and you will shape it from the very beginning.

YouTube: Video campaigns within the Carwow environment and with Carwow target audiences, from awareness to clicks.

Meta: Campaigns on Facebook and Instagram, delivered to people actively searching for a car.

Data consulting based on Carwow data, combined with our understanding of the German automotive market.

And new products: Further formats and ideas that we are currently developing. You will contribute what customers and agencies need and launch new products to the market.

Your Responsibilities as an Account Manager with a Focus on Digital Media

  • You will be responsible for revenue from YouTube, Meta, and Data in the German market and will expand it strategically (this is exactly where you need a "hunter mentality" in sales).

  • You will be the primary point of contact for the media agencies of automotive manufacturers, from large networks to specialized firms, and you will understand their planning, purchasing, and strategy.

  • Together with our Brand Partnerships Managers, you will win over the marketing and media executives of OEMs for our digital products.

  • You will respond to briefings with media plans and proposals that can be measured against customer KPIs, and you will convince with strong pitches.

  • You will cleanly book the campaigns you win: proposal, order, handover to Media Operations, and coordination of assets, runtimes, and tracking.

  • You will manage ongoing campaigns in coordination with Media Operations, optimize them for the agreed-upon KPIs, interpret reporting for clients, and turn good results into follow-up bookings and annual agreements.

  • You will further develop our offerings with Product, Analytics, and Media Operations and provide feedback on what agencies truly need.

... and you will maintain your pipeline and forecast so that we can rely on them together.

Your Profile

Note: Nobody fulfills all requirements 100%. If you strongly identify with the role and are enthusiastic about excellent media sales, we still look forward to your application. Because we want to grow together with you.

  • You have several years of experience in digital media sales, for example at a media marketer, publisher, platform, or on the agency side.

  • You are familiar with the German agency landscape and ideally have a robust network within agencies.

  • You have set up and managed digital campaigns yourself, ideally in DV360 (YouTube) and Meta Ads Manager, and you speak about CPM, reach, and conversions as confidently as you do about brand goals.

  • You enjoy working with data and can turn numbers into a story that a client understands and buys.

  • You present complex issues in a target-group-oriented and convincing manner, both to planners and to marketing management.

  • You work in a structured and reliable way, even when multiple proposals and bookings are running simultaneously.

  • You speak German at a native level and have fluent business English.

Having a passion for cars is not a requirement, but curiosity about the automotive industry is.

Our Interview Process

  • Talent Screen (by phone) with our Recruiting Team - approx. 30 minutes

  • Video Interview (online) with the relevant department - approx. 30 minutes

  • Case Study (on-site) with the relevant department - approx. 60 minutes

  • Final Values & Team Fit (on-site or online), ideally following your Case Study - approx. 30 minutes

And what's in it for you?

With us, you will find an innovative, diverse, and relaxed working environment in the heart of Munich. In addition, you get:

  • A competitive salary package with a variable component.

  • 28 days of vacation, increasing to up to 35 days with company tenure, plus special leave for moving, weddings, and more.

  • Hybrid working (3 days office, 2 days home office, for which you receive a budget of 500 Euros on top).

  • A subsidy for company pension provision.

  • A discounted membership in the Urban Sports Club.

  • ... as well as an honest work-life balance.

Diversity and inclusion are firmly embedded in our corporate culture. We welcome every application and make our decisions fairly, transparently, and solely based on skills, experience, and potential.
