Account Manager

Reporting: Key Account Manager Location: Westlake Cape Herb & Spice has grown from entrepreneurial roots into a global FMCG player, employing over 500 people and operating over 5 sites in Cape Town with a wide range of products across various categories. Purpose: The main function of this role is to ensure customer satisfaction by developing and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, identifying new business opportunities and driving sales growth. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients through regular meetings, site visits and communication. • Identify new business opportunities and drive sales growth through strategic planning and execution. • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement effective sales strategies. • Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to client inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise. • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activity and market developments to maintain a competitive edge. • Work closely with the Sales Team to achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall growth of the business. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field. • At least 3 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the FMCG industry. • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing strong relationships with clients. • Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Strong analytical and planning skills. • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel. • Willingness to travel regularly (up to 50% of the time). • Benefits: • Competitive salary and benefits package. • Ongoing training and development opportunities. • Collaborative and dynamic work environment. • Recognition and rewards for outstanding performance.
