Key Responsibilities:

• Acts as an independent insurance intermediary by negotiating insurance terms, premiums and policy conditions with insurers and arranging the placement of insurance cover on behalf of clients.
• Ensuring that policies appropriately address client risk exposures, financial circumstances and statutory requirements.
• Manage and develop a portfolio of insurance clients across a range of industries, including small and medium-sized enterprises, by providing tailored insurance broking and risk management solutions.
• Analyse client business operations, financial position and risk exposures to identify insurance needs and recommend appropriate coverage solutions.
• Provide specialist insurance broking services for construction-related products, including Home Building Compensation Fund (HBCF) and other industry-specific insurance policies.
• Deliver risk management guidance and compliance support to assist clients in meeting licensing, contractual and insurance requirements.
• Prepare and manage insurance documentation, including policy schedules, quotations, endorsements and renewals, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Negotiate insurance premiums, coverage terms and policy conditions with insurers to achieve competitive and suitable outcomes for clients.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, insurers, underwriters and professional advisers to support policy placement, renewals, claims and new business.
• Assist clients with insurance claims by coordinating lodgement, liaising with insurers and stakeholders, and supporting timely claim resolution.
• Ensure all broking activities comply with legislative obligations, regulatory standards and internal company procedures.
• Maintain current knowledge of industry developments, regulatory changes and insurance products to provide informed and proactive advice to clients

Skills & Qualifications:

• Postgraduate qualification in management or a closely related discipline, together Tier-1 certification in insurance broking.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in home Warranty, insurance broking, account management, or financial services
• Strong knowledge of insurance products, underwriting principles, and risk assessment.
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
• Demonstrates strong analytical judgment and the ability to assess information and resolve complex issues.
• Proven ability to manage high-volume client portfolios and achieve performance targets.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and solution-focused.
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with CRM or broking software (e.g., BEAT, CIMS, SAP ERP, Xero) is desirable.
