What's the role? Suddenly is an award-winning content agency owned by News Corp Australia and we are looking for an Account Director to lead content production for a fast-paced retailer account. This is a client-facing role spanning omni-channel editorial and supplier-funded content. This is a senior leadership position, responsible for client relationship management, commercial strategy, and high-level delivery for this flagship account. You will serve as the primary senior contact for a fast and demanding client, manage a multi-disciplinary team, and oversee the production and delivery of a wide range of content across various platforms. Key Responsibilities: Client Relationship Management: * Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with key client stakeholders. * Act as the primary point of contact for the client, providing strategic guidance and ensuring client satisfaction. * Proactively identify and address client needs and challenges, providing solutions and recommendations. * Lead client meetings, presentations, and workshops. Commercial Strategy: * Develop and implement commercial strategies to grow the account, including identifying new business opportunities. * Manage the account budget, ensuring profitability and financial performance. * Negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships. * Prepare and present proposals and pitches to the client. Team Leadership and Management: * Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary team, including editors, writers, designers, and project managers. * Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to team members. * Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment. * Oversee resource allocation and ensure efficient project delivery. Content Production and Delivery: * Oversee the production and delivery of a wide range of content across various platforms, including digital, social, print, and video. * Ensure all content meets client objectives and brand guidelines. * Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery. * Monitor and report on content performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement. What you’ll bring: * Proven experience in account management or client services, ideally within a content agency or marketing environment. * Strong understanding of content marketing and digital media. * Experience working with retail clients is highly desirable. * Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. * Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships. * Experience in commercial strategy and budget management. * Strong leadership and team management skills. * Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment. * Excellent organizational and project management skills. * Experience in managing multi-platform content production and delivery.
