Account Associate - Retail & Grocery (M/F)

What you will do on a daily basis

As an Account Associate - Retail & Grocery (M/F), you will be responsible for the success of a portfolio of partners, to ensure the best experience for our users, while building a strong and lasting partnership with them for our application.

• Analyze the performance of your portfolio and take appropriate action, make recommendations, be agile and open to newness.

• Process Optimization and Management: Deliveroo is a company that evolves at high speed and scale. You will have the opportunity to create and improve processes, such as partnership management, to contribute to growth. You will develop best practice documents for specific accounts and for the entire portfolio.

• Relationships with Retail and/or Grocery stores: You will manage partnership development, data monitoring, and ensure an optimal experience on the app to make Deliveroo the go-to home delivery service, by bringing your Food Tech expertise as the expert for your zone/city.

• You will ensure compliance with contractual commitments made with the partners in your portfolio.

What you need to succeed

• Experience: internship or work-study in an Account Management or Sales role. Field experience within a large group (ideally supermarket, marketplace, ecommerce, retailer, FMCG) is a real asset.

• Sales skills: you are driven to negotiate, anticipate commercial discussions, and take action to maintain a quality portfolio (contractual discussions, negotiations for the implementation of commercial tools, etc.).

• Entrepreneurial spirit: you have a taste for entrepreneurship, creation, and seeking opportunities, knowing how to take a high-level view without ever disconnecting from the field or your phone to understand your partners.

• Analytical: capable of being concise, in-depth with data, and understanding the data that improves performance for our in-store partners.

• Proactive in your relationships with stakeholders. You love being in the field and are involved in everything operational within your scope.

• Customer-centric: be obsessed with our customers. Use quantitative and qualitative data to build a service that is operationally excellent for our customers.

• Team player: a team player who collaborates and can get the best out of the people around you. Capable of working effectively at all levels of Deliveroo and succeeding with and through others.

• Optimistic, confident, and energetic: you bring freshness, energy, and passion to the team. You contribute to creating a unique work environment, conducive to new ideas and pleasant for others involved.

• Languages: Fluent French and English are essential.
