The department focuses on object planning and construction execution of new park facilities and major park renovation measures.

Leadership and management of the Planning and New Construction Department with personnel, financial, and organizational responsibility.

• Leadership and organization of the Planning and New Construction Department, direct and technical supervision of subordinate employees
• Coordination of object planning in the design and planning of individual projects, e.g., green corridors and public parks. Public relations and contract matters, participation procedures, and participation in planning advisory boards
• Management of projects during the construction phase by supporting construction managers
• Fulfilling specialist planning requirements in inter-departmental matters, in complex projects with diverse professional concerns and interdisciplinary questions, especially in the creation of innovative concepts and master plans
• Preparation of annual plans for task management, statistics, investment planning, monitoring of fund disbursement
• Representation and cooperative collaboration with the Head of the Green Spaces Office

• Completed academic university education with a degree as Diplom-Ingenieur/in (TU/Master) in Landscape Planning or a comparable qualification
• Many years of relevant professional experience (3 years or more)
• Qualification for highly qualified object planning and construction tasks, as well as tasks in the field of landscape and open space planning
• Experience in personnel management as well as leadership experience and leadership qualities
• Experience in project management
• Very good specialist knowledge in object planning, extensive legal knowledge, economic and strategic thinking, organizational and negotiation skills
• Very good knowledge of procurement law and contract law for urban development contracts
• Good German language skills and expressiveness in spoken and written form (at least at language level C1/C2)
• Sound knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Screen suitability

• Administrative experience
• Experience in budgetary project management
• Experience in public relations and citizen participation
• Ability for creative, interdisciplinary collaboration in solving complex planning and construction tasks
