Department Head (m/w/d) Credit Processing / Workout (Rhein-Main, hybrid)

We are looking for an experienced leader to head the Kreditabwicklung / Workout (NPL) department at a well-established bank in the Rhein-Main region. You will take on a key role at the interface between risk, law, and market – with genuine scope for shaping processes, tools, and the development of your area.

Facts

• Salary: 95,000 € p.a. (gross)
• Working hours: 39 hours/week
• Home office: 2 days/week
• Holiday: 30 days

Tasks

• Planning, coordination, and control of the credit processing department in line with the bank's overall goals
• Leading a team, including personnel planning and selecting and integrating new employees
• Responsibility for processing non-performing loan engagements (NPL/Workout): coordinating complex cases, being a point of contact for the bank, and independently handling complex cases (with or without insolvency proceedings)
• Controlling debt collection (separately organized group)
• Communication with customers, lawyers, and other stakeholders
• Making and implementing new applications and credit processes, continuous improvements, leading department projects

Qualification

• Completed banking education with further qualification (e.g. bank business administration or law degree) or business studies – alternatively a law degree/jurist's studies
• Multiple years of experience and in-depth knowledge of credit processing, debt collection, and insolvency proceedings
• Very good knowledge of the legal framework (including security rights, ZPO, InsO, ZVG) and regulatory requirements for credit business (especially credit processing)
• Leadership experience, clear communication, assertiveness, high personal responsibility
• Safe handling of bank IT systems and structured, solution-oriented work approach
