The Niederwieser Group is an internationally operating family-owned company with locations in Italy, Germany, and Spain – and combines expertise, team spirit, and genuine passion for quality and innovation. At our German location in Sulzberg, we produce high-quality multi-layer films using the co-extrusion process for the food packaging industry. For this purpose, we use an industrial image processing system (ISRA) that continuously records quality data – but the full potential of these data is still untapped. That's where you come in.

You will take on a concrete project with real business impact: You will analyze, structure, and activate our existing image data to elevate the quality control of our film production to the next level. You will work directly at the shop floor – embedded in an experienced production team that supports and benefits from your results.

Aufgaben

• You familiarize yourself with our existing ISRA image processing system and co-extrusion technology, analyze which data is already recorded and what has been unused so far.
• You systematically identify usage gaps and optimization potential and develop a clear picture of where the greatest lever for quality improvements lies.
• You define the relevant measurement parameters for the quality assessment of our multi-layer films, from surface defects to layer thickness distributions.
• You create practical specifications and standard processes for the systematic use of ISRA recordings and develop a concept for real-time monitoring in the ongoing production process.
• You set up the analysis of existing image data and test it under real production conditions.
• You check the measurement accuracy, processing speed, and reliability of your solution and compare the results with the target specifications of our co-extrusion processes.
• You create a detailed documentation of your analysis, specifications, and implementation proposals.
• You present your results to the production team and site management and give concrete recommendations for the next steps.

Qualifikation

• You study food technology and/or packaging technology, process engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, image processing / computer vision or a comparable technical degree program.
• You bring interest in industrial image processing, data analysis, and quality management with you.
• You have a technical understanding of production processes and are willing to learn new technologies.
• You work independently and structuredly, but are also curious enough to ask questions and look beyond the horizon.
• You speak German fluently (work language at the site).
• You have good English skills (for technical literature and international coordination within the group).
