Labor Litigation Lawyer

We are looking for a Labor Litigation Lawyer with experience in managing labor proceedings and the ability to represent a company in contentious matters, coordinate external advisors, and collaborate closely with internal departments.

Requirements

• Law Degree.
• Professional license essential.
• Minimum of three years of experience in labor litigation.
• Solid knowledge of applicable labor legislation and procedures.
• Experience in the preparation and review of legal documents, integration of evidence, and case file tracking.
• Skills in analysis, legal argumentation, negotiation, and communication.
• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet procedural deadlines.
• High sense of responsibility, organization, and confidentiality.

Objective of the position

To ensure comprehensive attention and timely follow-up of labor litigation and disputes, including pre-judicial and conciliation proceedings, through the design and execution of legal strategies aimed at protecting the company's interests.

The position will be responsible for analyzing the documentation of each case, preparing and reviewing legal documents and evidentiary elements, tracking procedural actions, and responding to the requirements of competent authorities. Likewise, it will provide legal advice to internal departments and coordinate the participation of external law firms during the development of assigned proceedings.

Main responsibilities

• Represent the company and provide comprehensive follow-up to lawsuits, pre-judicial and conciliation proceedings, and other labor disputes in which it is involved.
• Define and implement defense strategies, ensuring adequate protection of the organization's interests.
• Prepare, review, and submit claims, responses, motions, appeals, agreements, and other legal documents related to labor proceedings.
• Analyze case files, documentation, background information, and evidentiary elements to determine risks and courses of action.
• Prepare for and attend hearings, appearances, conciliations, and diligences before the competent labor authorities.
• Coordinate external law firms in charge of labor matters, validating strategies, progress, legal opinions, and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with various internal departments, primarily Human Resources, to gather information and evidence necessary for the handling of proceedings.
• Timely communicate to the involved departments the progress, risks, requirements, and resolutions related to each case.
• Track compliance with agreements, awards, judgments, and other determinations issued by the authorities.
• Prepare reports on the status of litigation, exposure levels, contingencies, and recommended actions.
• Analyze the recurring causes of disputes and propose preventive actions that contribute to reducing risks and new claims.
