Are you a strong negotiator with a passion for purchasing within a production environment? Do you want to work in an international context where you play an important role in ensuring smooth production? Then this role as Purchasing Officer Packaging Materials is for you!
What are your tasks?
As Purchasing Officer Packaging Materials, you are responsible for the strategic and operational purchasing of packaging materials such as folding cardboard, films, labels, big bags, and other packaging components.
- You maintain and develop strong relationships with existing suppliers and actively seek new partners.
- You negotiate contracts, prices, delivery terms, and other commercial agreements.
- You work closely with internal departments and suppliers to prevent stock-outs and production interruptions.
- You closely monitor market developments, raw material prices, and innovations in packaging.
- You handle quality complaints in collaboration with suppliers and internal colleagues.
- You monitor legislation regarding packaging materials and support its implementation within the organization.
- You participate in optimization, innovation, and supplier projects.
- You report the progress of projects, negotiations, and potential risks to the Purchase Manager.
- You regularly collaborate with international colleagues and are willing to visit suppliers and foreign sites.
Profile
Who are we looking for?
- You have a bachelor's or master's degree.
- You have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in purchasing, preferably in a production environment.
- You are commercially minded and possess strong negotiation skills.
- You communicate fluently in Dutch, French, and English.
- You are analytically strong and combine this with a pragmatic and hands-on approach.
- You work independently, take initiative, and are inherently responsible.
- You are a team player who works smoothly with different departments.
- Regular travel does not pose a problem for you.
- You are driven, ambitious, and results-oriented.
