8062 - Senior Automotive Designer

ALTEN México, a part of ALTEN Group, specializes in offering advanced consulting services in engineering and technology to various industries, with a focus on the automotive sector. Currently, we are looking for a talented Sr. Automotive Designer who will join our team to lead innovative and high-quality component design projects.

In this role, you will play a fundamental part in developing and optimizing complex designs, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and ensuring that all components meet the necessary standards. You will also be responsible for supervising junior designers, sharing your experience and knowledge to promote their professional growth.

Responsibilities:

• Lead interior, electrical, or harness design activities with minimal supervision.
• Validate electrical loads, routing feasibility, and compliance with standards.
• Perform structural performance evaluations using Altair's SimSolid.
• Review and validate junior designer results to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Contribute ideas during design reviews to ensure quality from the start.
• Coordinate with suppliers on fabricability and cost optimization.
• Participate in presentations with design leaders and launch engineers.
• Actively participate in vehicle compartment integration team reviews.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive design.
• Mastery of design software such as Siemens NX, CATIA, TEAMCENTER, SIMSOLID, CAE.
• Solid knowledge of plastic and electrical component design.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Oriented to details and committed to quality work.
• Advanced English is a requirement.
