1. POSITION: ARCHITECTURAL DRAFTSPERSON - FULL TIME

Salary: $100,000 to $110,000 per annum

Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed architectural drawings.
  • Produce accurate and precise plans, elevations, and specifications.
  • Create comprehensive layouts for existing kitchens, optimizing spatial utilization.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their vision and incorporate it into design plans.
  • Design detailed cabinetry layouts emphasizing functionality and aesthetic appeal.
  • Generate meticulous specifications for accurate execution of design concepts.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
  • Manage project timeline sand budgets for efficient completion.
  • Track progress, communicate with subcontractors, and uphold high-quality standards.
  • Coordinate deliveries and oversee installation, ensuring adherence to design specifications.
  • Perform thorough inspections to ensure quality and design integrity.
  • Collaborate with the construction team to provide necessary documentation for project execution.
  • Maintain detailed records for seamless project tracking.
  • Record contracts and agreements methodically, ensuring transparency.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Architectural Draftsperson.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant tools.
  • Strong understanding of building codes and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to translate clients' visions into practical and aesthetically pleasing designs

2. POSITION: CABINET MAKER - FULL TIME

Salary: $65,200 to $75,000 per annum

Position Summary:

As a Cabinetmaker, you will fabricate, assemble, and install bespoke cabinetry, wardrobes, counters, and fittings using wood, laminates, and engineered products. This skilled trade position (ANZSCO 3941112, Skill Level 3) requires precision, technical expertise, and a commitment to quality. You will work in a collaborative environment utilizing modern tools and CAD/CNC technology to bring client visions to life. This is a hands-on role ideal for a qualified tradesperson passionate about woodworking and joinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine drawings, work orders, and samples to determine specifications and ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Select and work with a range of materials, including timber, veneers, particle board, synthetic wood, laminates, and other engineered wood products.
  • Program and operate computer-aided design (CAD) and computer numerical control (CNC) machines to mark out, cut, and shape components accurately.
  • Mark out, cut, and shape wood and materials using hand tools, power tools, and machinery to produce high-precision components.
  • Assemble prepared components to construct furniture, cabinetry, wardrobes, and fittings according to detailed drawings and specifications.
  • Finish surfaces by applying varnishes, paints, polishes, and other treatments to achieve a professional, durable result.
  • Install cabinetry, kitchens, bathrooms, and wardrobes on-site, ensuring secure and aesthetic integration with existing structures.
  • Repair and maintain furniture and fittings as needed, troubleshooting issues to uphold quality workmanship.
  • Collaborate with designers, installers, and project managers to meet deadlines and client expectations.
  • Adhere to workplace health and safety (WHS) regulations, including the safe use of tools and equipment.

Essential Requirements:

  • AQF Certificate III in Cabinet Making (or equivalent relevant trade qualification).
  • At least 3 years of full-time, relevant post-qualification experience as a Cabinetmaker, including hands-on fabrication and installation.
  • Competency in using CAD/CNC software and woodworking machinery (e.g., saws, routers, sanders).
  • Strong knowledge of materials, joinery techniques, and finishing methods.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Physical fitness for manual handling and workshop or on-site tasks.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and dedication to quality craftsmanship.
  • Current driver’s license and right to work in Australia (or eligibility for visa sponsorship).
  • Desirable: Experience in kitchen/bathroom installations or specializations such as Cabinet Installer or Furniture Maker.

3. POSITION: SHEET METAL WORKER - FULL TIME

Salary: $40 to $45 per hour

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Sheetmetal Fabricator to join our team at 4Kitchens in Darwin, NT. This full-time role involves crafting high-quality custom metal components for the commercial kitchen industry. With your expertise in sheetmetal fabrication, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional results for our discerning clients.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Accurately read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
  • Operate specialised sheetmetal fabrication machinery and equipment with precision
  • Perform cutting, bending, welding, and finishing of sheetmetal components
  • Ensure all work meets strict quality and safety standards
  • Collaborate closely with the production team to meet deadlines and deliver projects on time
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of fabrication processes and techniques

  • Proven experience as a Sheetmetal Fabricator, ideally in the commercial kitchen industry
