Extensive hiring is planned for 2026.3 Permanent Roles | 100% Remote (Canada-wide). Requires travel to Montreal twice a year for team meetings.
The Role
We are looking for a Software Development Manager to lead a multidisciplinary delivery team (Developers, Tech Leads, and QA). You will sit at the intersection of people leadership and delivery execution, partnering with Product and Architecture to turn complex visions into high-quality software.Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Lead and coach a team of 8–10 people, fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and high performance.
Delivery Excellence: Oversee end-to-end execution, ensuring realistic timelines, clear priorities, and the removal of technical blockers.
Strategic Collaboration: Act as a thought partner to Product and Architecture to balance technical feasibility with business value.
Continuous Improvement: Optimize workflows and monitor performance metrics (velocity, quality, predictability) to evolve the delivery model.
Profil
Experience: 8+ years in software engineering, including 2+ years in a formal leadership or management role.
Expertise: Proven track record of managing delivery in a fast-paced SaaS or product-led environment.
Skills: Strong technical literacy with the ability to challenge architectural decisions and bridge the gap between business and engineering.
Mindset: Focused on transparency, team empowerment, and continuous process optimization.
