Job description

Then this position within the Intelligence & Security (I&S) domain of the Ministry of Defence might be for you. As a 1st Administrator, you will work on the management and continuity of systems that are essential for the organization's information provision.

Within the Joint IV Command (JIVC), thousands of IT professionals ensure the daily development, maintenance, and security of Defence ICT. In the COC2 & I&S service team, you will work on systems used within the intelligence and security domain. These are environments where stability, security, and technical expertise are central.

In this role, you will be responsible for the daily management of systems, analyze and resolve disruptions, and carefully implement changes and updates. You will work according to the applicable procedures and security guidelines to ensure the integrity and safety of the systems.

We are looking for an ICT professional who is energized by managing complex systems and wants to contribute to the stability and continuity of a technically challenging environment.

Job requirements

We are looking for a colleague who collaborates well and takes responsibility for their work. You communicate clearly with colleagues and contribute to a positive and professional team dynamic. Furthermore, you take initiative, actively tackle problems, and think along about improvements within the work environment. In addition to:

• HBO work and thinking level, demonstrated by an HBO diploma in ICT or ITIL Foundation knowledge area.
• At least 4 years of experience in managing complex ICT systems and networks.
• At least 4 years of experience with ITIL processes and procedures and demonstrable experience with process-oriented work.
• Knowledge of relevant developments and management processes, such as CI/CD, Docker, container orchestration, and configuration management tools (e.g., Puppet).
• Specialist knowledge of Windows and Linux environments (including the Red Hat family) including hosting complex applications with DNS, firewalls, load balancing, certificates, and communication protocols.
• Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell/Linux scripting). Affinity with cloud is a plus.
• Experience with analyzing disruptions, identifying causes, and advising on modifications/measures; deployable for on-call services (7x24).

A VGB A security clearance is mandatory for working within I&S.

Your placement will be based on your work experience and educational background.
