We are looking for a mechatronics engineer with experience in automotive lighting systems, focused on the development of exterior lighting. The ideal candidate will have advanced skills in CATIA, practical experience in the laboratory performing tests and troubleshooting, as well as solid knowledge of CAD design and manufacturing processes.

Activities to be performed:

• Lead and manage a team of up to 5 engineers/designers, supervising the execution of tasks, technical development, and performance.
• Design and update 2D/3D CAD models for upper hard trim and exterior lighting components using CATIA.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, engineering, manufacturing) to ensure seamless integration of lighting into upper trim assemblies.
• Perform laboratory testing and troubleshooting of lighting systems and finishing components.
• Ensure that all CAD documentation meets internal and industry standards.
• Manage document control, version control, and technical reviews.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for design and performance issues.
• Facilitate design reviews and incorporate feedback into updated models and drawings.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in CAD and design workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechatronics engineering, mechanical, electrical or related field of study
• More than 3 years of experience in CAD design, preferably in automotive or industrial environments.
• CAD designer for the upper hard trim, exteriors and lighting
• Mastery of CATIA and familiarity with other CAD tools.
• Experience working with upper trim systems and exterior lighting.
• Strong problem-solving skills in laboratory environments.
• Demonstrated experience in leadership in the management of small technical teams.
• Excellent communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in the design of interior/exterior components for automotive.
• Familiarity with document control systems and engineering workflows.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards related to lighting and finishing components.
• Certification in project coordination or team leadership will be valued.
