0138 - Sr. Welding Quality Specialist - MAG & Laser

At ALTEN México we are looking for a Sr. Quality Engineer to immediately join an automotive project in Monterrey. The ideal person will have extensive experience in MAG and Laser welding processes, strong knowledge of automotive standards and the ability to ensure the quality of the process in high-volume manufacturing environments. Prior experience in the manufacturing of seats for the automotive industry is highly valued.

• Ensure the quality of the production process with a focus on MAG and Laser welding technologies.
• Analyze failures, define corrective actions and lead containment and continuous improvement plans.
• Perform process, product and documentation audits in accordance with automotive standards.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineering, production and suppliers to solve quality problems.
• Manage PPAP documentation, change control and process validation.
• Participate in launch, ramp-up and stabilization activities of production lines (plant support).
• Monitor scrap KPIs, rework, weld quality and process performance.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in the automotive industry as a Quality Engineer or similar role.
• Technical mastery of MAG and Laser welding processes (essential).
• Experience working with Tier 1 automotive companies (desirable).
• English B2–C1 for communication with global teams.
• Knowledge of automotive regulations, root cause analysis, quality tools (8D, FMEA, Ishikawa).
• Experience in seat manufacturing is a plus.
