(0124) WPI Specialist / Launch Engineer

We are seeking a Launch Engineer to join a strategic project within the automotive industry, supporting the implementation, installation, and validation of production stations during launch phases.

• Coordinate the installation, validation, and buy-off of workstations on site, ensuring compliance with industrial engineering, ergonomics, and safety requirements.
• Design, implement, and update solutions for Minimal Material Handling (MMH) and Low-Cost Automation (LCA), guaranteeing correct material disposition and workflow.
• Maintain updated CAD plans according to actual floor conditions and Plant Registration Plans (POR).
• Manage and update databases and tracking indicators: open issue lists, WPI/ELM checklists, PFEP data, Kaizen Journal, timelines, lessons learned, and best practices.
• Collaborate with Production, Industrial Engineering, Ergonomics, and WPI teams to ensure correct implementation of changes during production.
• Function as the main point of contact for problem resolution in assigned stations, ensuring rapid response times and compliance with launch plans.

Requirements

Industrial Engineering, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related.

5 years of experience in automotive launch environments.

Knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office (especially Excel and Access).

Familiarity with systems ODCICS2 (Engineering & EBOM screens).

Knowledge in ergonomics and its application in production lines.

Experience in collaborative and multifunctional environments.

Organizational and communication skills, both oral and presentation.

Ability to adapt to dynamic and changing environments.
