0099 - Vehicle Weight Analysis and Management Engineer

Engineer responsible for estimating, analyzing, and controlling the vehicle's weight and distribution, using CAD tools such as Catia and TeamCenter, technical part lists and defined configurations by Sales. His/her function is key to ensuring the fulfillment of weight and load objectives, as well as identifying opportunities for improvement and weight reduction in the vehicle. Analysis of part, module, and assembly weights at different stages of development. Estimation of gross weight, taking into account factors such as materials, dimensions, and manufacturing processes. Control of weight distribution and optimization of vehicle design to meet specific weight and load requirements. Collaboration with Sales and Production teams to ensure that vehicle designs meet customer requirements and regulatory standards. Analysis of vehicle weight and load data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Development of strategies to reduce vehicle weight and improve load capacity. Implementation of weight reduction measures and monitoring of their effectiveness. Continuous monitoring of vehicle weight and load data to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and customer expectations. Identification of opportunities for improvement and implementation of changes to reduce vehicle weight and improve load capacity. Development of procedures and guidelines for estimating and controlling vehicle weight and load. Training and guidance of colleagues on vehicle weight and load estimation and control procedures. Collaboration with other departments to ensure that vehicle weight and load requirements are met. Development of reports and presentations to communicate vehicle weight and load data to stakeholders. Continuous learning and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and methodologies for vehicle weight and load estimation and control.
